Paintball Safety and tips.

Paintball is a relatively safe sports, when played by the rules.

When at your favorite paintball field, follow the field rules and regulation. Listen to what the referee has to say.

Always wear paintball specific goggles! Ski goggles will NOT Work! Shop Goggles will NOT work! if you are unsure if your goggles are paintball specific, just rent them at the field. A paintball traveling out of a paintball marker flys out at roughly 280fps, which is about 190MPH, a non paintball specific goggle will not able to stop a paintball at this velocity. This can lead to eye injuries and quite possibility the lost of eye sight!

Wear a athletic cup to project your groin, wear a neck protector for your heck, and a pair thin gloves for your hand. If you do not have a athletic cup, BUY one! If you do not have a paintball neck protector, you can use a bandanna wrapped around your neck. You do not need paintball specific gloves, you can get a pair of baseball batting gloves.

When you are not on the field using your paintball marker (gun). Always use a barrel plug or barrel sock [sometime called a barrel condoms].

Treat your marker as if it was loaded. That means do not point the marker at anyone or yourself, that also means do NOT look down the barrel of a marker!

Never shoot paintball over 300fps. Goggles are not meant to withstand velocities past 300fps.

Do not use your marker as a weapon, ie. NO drive by shootings. No shooting up someone's home. No shooting anyone anything besides on a paintball field!
